1) Automatically generated data

Every time you visit our websites, log files automatically process data that originates from your device and may also include personal data. This applies to the following data:

Browser type/version
Operating system
Name of provider
IP address
Date and time of access
Website visited (and any search words)
Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
We do not process this data in conjunction with any other personal information about you and thus do not assign this data to you.

The legal basis for the processing of this data is Article 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR. Its processing is necessary to ensure the functionality of the website and carry out statistical evaluations in order to optimise the content of our websites and present it correctly and, if necessary, to provide law enforcement authorities with the information required for prosecution in the event of a cyberattack. This constitutes our legitimate interest in data processing. This data processing is required for the operation of our website. It is therefore not possible to object thereto.

The aforementioned data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the stipulated purposes, i.e. when the website visit is terminated. If your IP address is processed, its deletion will take place after seven days.

2) Cookies

The different types of cookies and similar technologies used on our websites are described below.

a) Description and scope of data processing

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are created and stored on your Internet browser the first time you visit our website. The next time the website is visited using the same device, the stored usage data is either returned to the website that created it (first-party cookie) or to another website to which it belongs (third-party cookie). During the user’s subsequent visits to the website, the website is thus able to recognise that it has already been accessed from this browser. As a result, the website can be adapted to the needs of the user, the use of the website can be statistically evaluated and the display of content can be varied. The term ‘cookies’ is hereinafter used to refer to any technology that stores user data locally and, if applicable, transmits it to us or a third party during your website visit.

b) Cookie categories

Cookies have varying storage periods. Our website uses both ‘permanent cookies’ and ‘session cookies’:

aa) Session cookies are only stored during your current visit to our website and serve to ensure your unrestricted use of our services and comfortable navigation of our website. If you disable session cookies, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to use all of our services without restriction.

bb) The permanent cookies are temporarily stored locally on your Internet browser (temporary cookies) and serve to enable your comfortable use of our website beyond your current visit and are only used by us for this purpose. Disabling these cookies does not usually affect the usability of our website.

Depending on their function and purpose, cookies can be divided into the following categories:

aa) Necessary cookies (type 1)

These cookies are mandatory for our website to function properly. They enable the usability and performance of our website to be improved and various functions to be offered. They also enable previously entered information (like user names, language preference or your location) to be stored, thus removing the need for you to re-enter such data.

cc) Functional cookies (type 2)

These cookies are used to obtain information about your use of our website. For instance, they enable the identification of particularly popular areas of our website in order to better tailor our content to your needs. More information on these cookies and how to delete them can be found in section e).

dd) Marketing and third-party cookies (type 3)

These cookies are used to display more targeted and relevant advertising that is adapted to the user’s interests. This information may be shared with third parties, such as advertisers. Cookies to improve targeting and advertising are often linked to third-party page functions. More information on these marketing cookies and how to delete them can also be found in section e).

Our website may contain content by third-party providers, such as Facebook services or YouTube videos. These third parties may add cookies and receive information during and about your use of our website. The cookies are primarily used to integrate social media content such as social plugins on our website. For further information, please see below and on the third-party websites.

d) Legal basis

The cookies only process anonymous and pseudonymous data. The provision of this data is neither required by law nor by contract, and it is not required for contract conclusion. Insofar as personal data is also processed in the form of pseudonymous data, the legal basis is the consent given by you when you access our website (Art. 6 Para. 1 a) GDPR).

d) Deletion of cookies

You can also visit our website without the use of cookies. You can prevent the storage of new cookies and delete previously added cookies as follows:

if you have previously given consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 a) GDPR), we will delete your data after revocation or expiry of the processing purpose with future effect. Revocation may be effected via letter or e-mail. For information on how to delete cookies yourself, please refer to the instructions on your browser or your device manufacturer. See below for additional information on functional cookies and marketing cookies (Types 2 and 3) and how to delete those from specific third parties.

e) Special cookies

Our website uses following functional and marketing cookies.

Google Analytics:

Google Analytics uses temporary cookies to analyse your use of the website. The data stored on the use of our website, including your IP address (‘usage data’), is generally transmitted to and stored by Google in the USA. We wish to point out that Google Analytics has been extended by the code ‘gat._anonymizeIp();;’ in order to ensure the anonymous collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). If IP anonymization is activated on our website, your IP address will be truncated by Google beforehand in Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there.

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our website for us, to create reports concerning website activity and carry out other services related to the use of the website and the Internet for us. Google only passes this data on to third parties on the basis of legal regulations or in the context of order processing.

You can prevent cookies from being saved to your device using the respective setting in your browser software; we explicitly state, however, that you may not be able to completely use all of our website’s features if you disable cookies. You can also prevent the logging of data generated through cookies and your use of this website (including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data through Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available via the following link: www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin

For more information about Google Analytics, please go to: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

3) Contact

If you contact us by e-mail or via social media, a contact form or another method (e.g. in the context of a request, complaint, etc.), we process any personal data provided therein. This takes place for the purpose of processing and recording the enquiry/complaint or similar. This information will only be disclosed to third parties if necessary for query processing or execution (e.g. to the organiser when registering for an event). The legal basis for data processing is Article 6 Para. 1 (a), (b) and (f) of the GDPR.

4) Event images

At our events, we take photographs/videos (‘images’) of visitors and other parties. These images feature people either individually or as part of a group. The images are used and published for reporting and documentation purposes, as well as for communication and advertising in connection with the event, especially on the corresponding brand website and Facebook page and, in some cases, on the company website www.radeberger-gruppe.de and in the employee and customer magazine. The images are archived by us. The legal basis is Section 22 and 23 of the German Act on the Protection of Copyright in Works of Art and Photographs (KUG) and Art. 6 Para. 1 a) and f) of the GDPR.

5) Third-party access

Data processing is only carried out by us and, if necessary, service providers commissioned by us and, providing your consent has been given or in the context of contractual relationships, by other third parties as well as companies within the Oetker Group with which we are affiliated. Other than this, we will only process your personal data in the case of official or legal obligation.

6) Duration of data processing

We will only process your personal data for as long as the purposes specified in Art 6. Para. 1 of the GDPR exist or until expiry of the limitation periods for any claims and statutory retention requirements.

7) Your rights

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data stored about you at any time, as well as to rectify, delete, restrict and revoke its processing and transfer (Art. 15-21 GDPR) and, if necessary, to revoke any previously given consent (with future effect as per Art. 7 GDPR) and to complain to a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

If you wish to exercise your rights or have any questions not answered in this privacy policy, please contact our data protection officer in writing or via e-mail (see above for contact details).
